Booking terms
These terms apply to every journey, trek and service booked with Raid & Ride. Please read them before you confirm a booking.
1. Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when we receive a 25% advance and send you written confirmation. The balance is due 30 days before the start of your journey. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is due at the time of booking.
2. Prices
Prices are per person and include only the services listed under "What's included" for each journey. Taxes are charged as applicable. We may need to revise prices for changes in government fees, permits or taxes outside our control; we will tell you before you pay the balance.
3. Cancellation by you
Please tell us in writing if you need to cancel. The following charges apply, calculated on the total trip cost:
- More than 60 days before departure: the advance is refundable, less a 5% administration fee.
- 30 to 60 days before departure: 50% of the trip cost.
- Fewer than 30 days before departure: 100% of the trip cost.
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
4. Changes and cancellation by us
Mountain travel depends on weather, roads and official decisions. If we must change a route for safety or because of closures, we will offer the best available alternative. If we cancel a departure before it starts, you may choose an alternative date or a full refund of the money paid to us.
5. Health, fitness and insurance
Travel at high altitude carries health risks. You must tell us about any medical conditions that could affect your trip and follow the advice of your guide. Travel insurance covering medical treatment and emergency evacuation at the altitudes on your itinerary is a condition of booking.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for carrying valid identification, following local laws and permit conditions, and respecting local customs, wildlife and the environment.
