The crew

Travel at the speed of the mountains.

A small travel studio planning private journeys, treks and winter expeditions with the drivers, guides and families who call these valleys home.

We plan journeys the way people who live here travel — slowly, with time to rest, to sit with a family over tea and to wait out the weather when the mountains ask for it.

Who we are

A small team with a wide network

Raid & Ride plans journeys in the Indian Himalaya and Bhutan for travellers who would rather go slowly and see things properly. We work with drivers, guides, trek crews and homestay families across Ladakh, Zanskar, Spiti, Himachal and Bhutan.

Every trip is shaped by a planner who knows the roads, the seasons and the people. We'll tell you when a route is too ambitious, when a pass is likely to be closed and when a quieter valley would suit you better.

We keep groups small, travel privately whenever you prefer and choose stays that feel like the place you're in.

The people

Who you'll travel with

Everyone who looks after you on the road comes from the mountains.

Trip planners

Your first point of contact. They design the route, check roads and permits, book stays and stay in touch throughout your trip.

Driver-guides

Mountain drivers from the regions you visit, who know every pass, river crossing and roadside tea stop.

Trek crews

Qualified trek leaders, cooks, porters and horsemen who make camp feel like home at 4,500 metres.

Homestay hosts

Families in Spiti, Zanskar, Ladakh and Bhutan who open their homes, kitchens and stories to our guests.

Travelling lightly

How we try to leave things better

Small decisions, made on every trip.

Local first

We hire drivers, guides and crews from the regions we travel in and pay fairly, on time.

Less plastic

Refillable bottles and filtered water on every trip; we carry out what we carry in.

Wildlife with care

No baiting, chasing or crowding animals — distance and patience, always.

Respect in villages

We brief every guest on dress, photography and monastery etiquette before they arrive.
